Whether you have a full closet or just a few items, you may feel like you wear the same outfits over and over again. I have a great solution! During a “shop your closet” session with a Client (one of my favorite people in this world), I fell in love with one of her necklaces. If you look closely you can see a green necklace hanging on the door. Choose a necklace or an accessory that you love from your closet and do the same.
Here is a better picture of the necklace. She bought it at Francesca’s.
Pair the necklace with a monochromatic outfit. An all white outfit or even an all black outfit gets new life with just a necklace.
In this picture we found a color we loved to go with the necklace. The orange really compliments the green. If you find that it’s hard for you to see what color compliments your necklace, hold your necklace up to various shirts hanging in your closet.
My Goddaughter Caroline wearing HER pretty green necklace! I love how she’s posing just like Mommy for the picture. A very special thanks to Katie for letting me post her closet and share all of her secrets. Thank you Katie, you truly are the best!
The colored jean dilemma: Yesterday while shopping for a Client at DSW I ran into a friend. She was shopping for shoes to go with her new blue colored jeans. She asked me “What shoes do you think would go with my new jeans?”. Luckily I had this outfit on and was able to show her how black shoes go great! She went next door to get similar black Toms. Thanks Holli for the post idea!
I find myself always wanting to pair my colored jeans with gold sandals. Black sandals serve as an unexpected alternative! Black accessories are not just for the winter! But, more to come on this topic later.
I thought this was a fun picture. My sister took all these pictures from my i-phone. I got home and started to choose what pictures would be best for the post. This picture was a surprise. Thanks Erica for being my photographer.
I love shirts like this because they are so thin, they don’t cling to the body, and they don’t show ugly sweat spots. Plus you don’t need to worry about bra straps showing. Oh, and they’re comfortable too!
Action shot – The clothes at work, functioning well!
The best picture of all! My niece in her “fancy” outfit. I love the short and long necklace with the bracelet and the headband. She picked it out! Girls, it’s in our blood!
Fun tidbits: It took me less than 15 minutes to get ready! I have no eye make-up on, because I knew I would be wearing sunglasses all morning. And since I washed my hair the night before I just threw my hair up in a bun.
