I’m trying something new today, and I want you guys to let me know if you like the “You Asked: I Answered” concept. I get lots of questions and comments from readers, and they give me great ideas for posts, so keep them coming! I recently received this question from Becky:
[Is there] something that would give the same “look” as your Converse tennis shoes without wearing Nikes? (And that a “50” year old can pull off!) I actually bought the Converse and took so much flack from my husband and kids that I had to return them!!! They did not look good on me like they do on you! But I am a fan of the dressed down look and comfort they provide! Can you think of an alternative?”
What a great question! I know not everyone feels like Converse are their style, or some might feel that they don’t look quite right on them, but still love the concept. I totally understand, and here’s my answer:
I have quite a few friends that have purchased these as an alternative to the standard Converse and they look fantastic in them! Not to mention, how cute Sincerely Jules looks in them in the picture above. In fact, I want a pair, but I have to stop somewhere -ha!
Well, my love for Tretorn sneakers just continues. I posted about them here, way back when… It seems that they’ve come out with a less bulky, sleeker style and I am in love with them. It’s absolutely amazing that J. Crew has them in stock right now. I want these, too -ha!
I also have friends that have these and they look adorable in them! I mean, as far as I’m concerned, you can’t go wrong with whatever sneaker you choose.
Becky, I hope this was helpful. Cheers to wearing sneakers and looking cute!
