I just love the look of a navy blazer. There is something about it that seems so chic and classic. It’s such a versatile piece in a wardrobe. It can be worn with jeans just as easily as it can be worn with a skirt or slacks for work. This weekend I wore it with jeans to go shopping with my aunt and sister. It was perfect, because it was casual enough for shopping but sophisticated enough if we decided to stop somewhere nice for lunch.
My friend and I were e-mailing about our outfits this day, because we were both wearing our high-top chucks. Yes, I was e-mailing about my outfit…weird, I know -ha! During our e-mail exchange, she asked me where I like to go for navy blazers, and so I thought I would do a post on it! I really like going to Nordstrom for blazers. I got this one last year from Trouve (no longer available), and I’ve really fallen in love with TOPSHOP‘s blazers. I have one in black, white, and nude. I think they’re really good quality, a great fit (although they do run small) and a good price point. Check them out here, but they’re also sold at Nordstrom. But if you’re looking for the classic school boy navy blazer, J. Crew is always spot on. This J. Crew blazer will never go out of style. I also like this one from ZARA.
Blazer- J.Crew for similar, T-Shirt- Splendid for similar, Jeans- Citizens of Humanity, Shoes- Converse, Bag- Urban Outfitters, Earrings- Argento Vivo, Necklace- Nordstrom for similar, Diamond Necklace- Nordstrom for similar, Watch- Kate Spade
I’m always trying to add a little interest or something unexpected when picking out my outfits. Since the blazer felt classic and preppy, I decided to pair it with my hole-y jeans and high top Converse to give the outfit a little interest. On a side note, I love a good iced tea. I’ll drive all over the city just to find a good one. This was a good one, just look at that ice! Is your mouth watering? Mine is -ha! Have you ever had an iced tea sno-cone? They are the best!
