I was recently chatting with a friend, and she had a great question! Can you wear suede in the summer? It took me a second to answer because I imagined myself wearing a long suede dress with sweat dripping down my face -hahaha! Then she mentioned she was specifically wondering about suede shoes. Ahhhh, now I get it! So, here’s the answer: Yes, you can wear suede in the summer (when it makes sense)! A long suede dress when it’s 100 degrees outside doesn’t make sense! But what about a pair of black suede flats? Well, when worn at night to an indoor restaurant where the A/C is blasting, makes sense! Now, you may choose a more summery color, like blue suede, but you catch my drift. Anyway, just look at all the suede shoes I have in my closet! I would wear each one of these in the dead heat of summer without any hesitation. So Linds, the answer is, YES!!! And E (my sis @tellitoyourneighbor)- yes, you can wear your suede shirt in the summer… if you are in the A/C -ha! Just pair the shirt with something summery, like a light colored flare jean and a wedge (think boho)! If you wear suede and you want to show me (and make my day), tag me or use the hashtag #cstyleinspo!

Totally agree. Suede shoes all year around. Love your suede collection!
I’m so excited to see this! I’d thought about emailing you with the same question. I’m going to pull the trigger on the suede shoes I’d been mulling over. Thanks!

Do it! Do it! Do it!
I did it, I did it! And, I wore my other JCrew Colette suede shoes today and I would have normally retired them around Easter. Thanks, Carly!
