What I Wore: Santa Barbara Part 2

IMG_1574

I have so many pictures from this trip, I think I could post all the way to Part 10.  But, I know that it can get pretty tiring looking at a ton of pictures from someone else’s vacation -ha! For this reason, I decided to have all the outfit pictures first and then if you feel like checking out other vacation pics, they’re at the bottom.

Alright. First up, this is what I wore on our day out to the vineyards.  I knew we would be walking, so I wore my comfortable new booties. I think this outfit is a really great example of how styling can add a lot to an outfit. There are lots of styling tricks happening here: I sloppy tucked to show a waist line, I rolled my sleeves for a more casual vibe, I let my necklace do it’s thing (sometimes it would be over one side of the collar, sometimes it would be in the middle), I popped my collar, and I cuffed my jeans just once (sometimes my skin showed and other times it didn’t).  Yup, lots of styling tricks for one outfit -ha!

Next up, this is what I wore when we went shopping one afternoon before dinner.  I’m totally loving my new high waisted jeans!

Wow, that orange tank top is bright!  But, hey, at least my husband could spot me if I ever got lost on our kayak tour. I’m really posting this picture because of how happy I was with my Onzie hot pants for this activity. When I first posted about them (here), I talked about their “free flow” fabric that was made for a variety of wet and dry work out activities. They didn’t disappoint! I didn’t get hot in them and I didn’t get cold in them when I got wet.  Oh, and they protected me from the sun.

And a picture of what I wore on our travel day home.  Of course, I had to wear my new Old Navy sweater I bought on the trip.  I couldn’t help myself, it was too perfect for travel wear!

That’s it for outfit pics!  The rest are just fun vacation pictures.

I had my husband take a picture of me in this room at the Hilliard Bruce Winery.  I just thought it was so unique and pretty.

Oh, and then I took a picture of the fireplace because there was no step or platform for the fire.  It was like the fire was on the floor. How cool is that?

IMG_1538

I had to take a picture next to these Bells of Ireland at the Hillard Bruce Winery.  Why? Because at our reception, exactly ten years before, we had Bells of Ireland as our center pieces.  They were inexpensive and they were green to match the pears we gave away as our party favors.

I don’t really ever take pictures of my food, but I do love good food.  The real reason I took a picture of my breakfast this particular morning was because of the mini syrup bottle.  How cute is it?!?

I’m including these pictures because this was probably one of the prettiest restaurants I’ve ever been to.   It was the “casual” restaurant at San Ysidro Ranch called the Plow & Angel. It was outside and every table was canopied by trees that were sparkling with lights.

I have to end with one last picture from our hike.  This was one of the views at the top of our hike.  And of course, this picture doesn’t really do this view justice -ha!

Thanks for letting me share my trip with you guys!

Looks like a fabulous trip! And I love the way your booties look different with each outfit, yet you only had to pack one pair.

I enjoyed your vacation pictures, especially the twinkly lights on the restaurant patio. Beautiful.
