I have a confession to make, and it’s a little embarrassing. I used to have a negative attitude towards luncheons…like I certainly would not click on a post that was titled “luncheon dress”. But I keep growing as a person. You see, as I have been sitting in luncheon rooms with all the dressed up ladies, I realized it’s about way more than that. It’s about people who have a call in their hearts that is so strong that they actually decide to do something about it. It’s sometimes hard to see with all the glitz around a luncheon, but that is really what it’s about. And you know what? I have had some pretty profound moments sitting in those luncheons, listening to a well known speaker or just a mom speaking from her heart. So let’s just consider this my coming out luncheon dress. Move over standard luncheon Carly and standard luncheon attire! This sister has a new attitude and a dress to match.
Well, who doesn’t love a pretty shirt dress (this one is an extra 20% off at Anthropologie)!?!? My sister and I were talking about how practical these dress are. They are perfect for almost any occasion, and most importantly, they are comfortable! Even after you eat a meal, you are still comfortable! They are also perfect for multi-tasking, like going to work, a luncheon, picking up the kids and then running to the grocery. All you have to do is slip on more comfortable shoes!
I wrapped one of my favorite necklaces around my wrist as a bracelet…
I kept the shoes comfortable and flat. Plus, loafers are really on trend this fall. I love these, but I also like these and these.
As for me, I’ll definitely be adding more shirt dresses to my wardrobe and more luncheons to my life -ha!
