This Christmas break has ended up being a little crazy for the Lee family. It’s all self induced chaos (well, most of it), but it has left me very behind and a little (ok, a lot) overwhelmed.
Our house was in need of some fresh paint both inside and out, and the painter said he could paint the entire inside in two weeks during the Christmas break. My husband and I had a little chat one night and decided to go for it! Why not? We could make it a fun adventure for the kids. It’s all about perspective, right? So off went making preparations to move into a hotel.
But not so fast… My husband, who has been in excruciating pain from a herniated disk, was able to have surgery on his neck today, which left me even more overwhelmed. So here I sit in the hospital room, feeling like the roller coaster has ended and so thankful to God for a surgery that went well, great doctors and supportive family and friends! I feel like a huge weight has been lifted, and I can get back to what I love, C. Style!
The day we started to pack, I decided to take “before” pictures of the house. A few of you have asked me to share pictures of my house, so I thought this was a great opportunity. Keep in mind, these are not professional photos. They are pictures from my iPhone, and I was just taking them for myself to remember how the house looked “before”. Everything is not placed perfectly. I love my comfy, cozy, casual home, and I’m really looking forward to the changes we are making and sharing the final result with you guys!

Thanks for taking my “before” picture home tour, and I look forward to sharing the “after” pictures with you all. I’m selling my kitchen and dining room chandeliers, so if you are interested, e-mail us your best price (under the contact tab). Otherwise I’ll be taking them to a consignment shop.
Your house is beautiful!
Thank you, Jeanie!
I love your house now but I know the “after” will look amazing! Can’t wait to see it. Also so thankful for a successful surgery ❤️!
I love your house! Can you tell me where you bought that round mirror with the gold trim? It’s gorgeous!
I have that exact mirror, it’s from Wisteria 🙂
I love reading your blog! It is very real and practical so thank you for taking the time to write and post pics! So glad the surgery went well for your husband. Your home is very cozy and polished!
Beautiful round kitchen table! Is it available anywhere?
It’s from one of the vendors at Old Henry Farms at the Round Top Antique Fair. I hope this helps.
I love it already! Can’t wait to see afters.
Yay! I was one of your fans that was asking for house pics so this post made me so happy! 🙂 Your house is ADORABLE, I just love your taste! Cant wait to see the after pics!!! 🙂
Thank you! Still working on the “after”, stay posted! Ha!
Love it! What’s the creamy white paint color used in the dining room?
Allison, This paint color was chosen by the previous owners. I’m sorry to say that I don’t know the color.
I do hope you post the after pics soon! 🙂
