Holiday Party Looks And The Heels To Wear With Them All

Holiday Party Looks And The Heels To Wear With Them All

This is a two part post, or maybe it should be called a two point post -ha!  First point, I’m so excited to show you all how one pair of booties can look great with lots of different dresses and looks! I plan to wear the snot out of these booties. I found a steal and splurge version, and you really and truly can’t tell a difference. When I tried the steal on one foot and the splurge on the other for my husband, he thought they were the same shoe. Boom! So, when Nordstrom asked me to consider doing a post on shoes, I was in because I was already planning on telling you guys about them anyway! Keep an eye out for the booties and how they make the dresses look current and super chic!

Second point, I ran into some sweet readers on Saturday night (thanks for saying hi), and they made me realize I haven’t done a holiday dress post yet. Well, on Sunday, my husband took my boys to the Texans game, so guess what I did? Did you have to even guess? Ha! I found some fabulous dresses:

Eliza J Dress, Booties- Splurge, Steal

How chic would this look with a moto jacket or coat on top for warmth? Heck, you could even wear it with tights. I love it with the booties! I’m wearing an XS.

Ted Baker Dress, Booties- Splurge, Steal

How stinkin’ cute is the bow?! I like this dress because, well, it’s roomy (who doesn’t like that), and I like that you can wear it in the spring/summer, too! I’m wearing a 2, but I needed it in a 0.

Now, I have to say, I have absolutely nowhere to wear this, but I trust that you all are way cooler and hip and have fun, dressy parties to go to. I could see this for a New Year’s party or a 40th. I’m wearing an XS. Same goes for this dress…

Now, if my husband and I were doing something really fun for New Year’s, I’d be all over this dress. I’d wear these booties and put my moto jacket on top. One can’t take their mermaid sequins too seriously. This dress is just fun and a moto jacket with booties keeps it that way. I’m wearing a S.

Dress- Ted Baker (in store only), Booties- Splurge, Steal

I’m in love with this dress. To me, it’s a refreshingly different look for a holiday party. I’m a total sucker for black accents with floral patterns. That feminine, edgy look is my jam. Too bad it seems to be other peoples jam as well because I can’t find this dress on the Nordstrom website anywhere. The good thing is that Nordstrom’s customer service is super helpful, so just call, chat online or speak with a store associate! Here’s another option, it actually saves me money because I already have a black pleated skirt and floral blouse!

If you’re missing one of those pieces, here are a few ideas:

This dress is also a very refreshing holiday look. It looks like it could be Vince, but it’s NOT! YAY! It ties at the waist, and the v-neck is flattering. It has that whole “not trying to hard” look going for it, and you know I like that.  The black booties make this outfit, if you ask me.

I’m actually NOT RECOMMENDING THIS DRESS. It fits terribly. It’s big at the waist and tight on the hips and butt (as you can see in the mirror). What I am recommending is this look. This is also a refreshing look for a holiday party. You don’t usually see white at a Christmas party, am I right? Once again, the black booties make the outfit. Drape a black coat or moto jacket on top, and you will look so freaking CHIC.

Here are my favorite white dresses:

Check out the $148 dress. It has great reviews.

Dress- Parker (in store only), Booties- Splurge, Steal

Can we just say easy? Easy and pretty and, once again, the black booties make the outfit.

Here is the shirt version and a similar dress:

This dress is also easy. It’s actually navy, so I won’t call it an LBD, but it might as well be because it’s chic to wear black with navy. Does that make sense? Anyway, if you love the sheer at the top look but you really do want black, check out these dresses:

French Connection Dress, Booties- Splurge, Steal

I hesitate to include this dress because the sizing is so off. But if you want to know what I’ll be wearing to Christmas Eve service, this is it. It’s a sweater dress and is so simple and understated, and I love the dark green color. I plan to wear it with these booties, of course, and my black coat or moto jacket. I’ll probably add some fun earrings, like I’m wearing in the picture. I’m usually a size 0 or 2. I am wearing an 8 in this picture, and I just ordered it in a 10. I want a bit more room.

How cute do the booties look with all of these dresses? So chic and hip, right? I’m wearing the splurge version in the pictures. I still have the steal version because I just can’t decide! Can you tell which is the splurge and which is the steal? Click to see. (Why does this game make me so happy?)

Could you wear those with your madewell black denim skirt to dress it up? Possibly with tights??? What kind of top??? I LIVE by your fashion finds and advice and I swear it ALWAYS comes at the perfect time. I’m currently debating after purchasing your other black Steve Madden suede booties and Steve Maddens sock booties which bootie is better to dress up and dress down and I think the lucky brand ones might be the PERFECT mix! Just ordered and can’t wait to find out!!
