I’ve been thinking about my morning routine and phone habits after reading Atomic Habits by James Clear and Get your Life Back by John Eldredge. I highly recommend both books. I was given Get Your Life Back as a gift (thank you, Kristin), and it has really challenged me in a good way. It pushed me to continue to make more and more healthy habits and to stick with them, because I wanted my life back (see what I did there?)
Here’s what I’ve changed as a result…
When I’m working from home, I put my clothes next to my bed, so it’s not 11am and I’m still in my pajamas jamming away at emails. Plus, I get dressed under the warmth of my covers!
I no longer use my phone as an alarm because I purchased this clock! Which means I no longer go to bed and wake up looking at my phone. It’s amazing how much more at peace I feel after making this small change.
Alarm Clock: Braun
I usually procrastinate getting ready for various reasons, but I don’t dread getting ready or getting dressed as much with this little space heater to keep me warm in the bathroom!
Space Heater: Dreo
When I make my coffee in the morning, I also make a big Yeti full of lemon water. It helps me drink water all day long!
